CCC's Technical & Media Arts Ministry

Worshipping the Lord through the Media Arts Ministry is much more than merely providing Technical Support. It's about living a lifestyle of worship to God 24/7. Whether it's as a member of a Praise Band, or assisting with Sound, Lighting, Computer, Broadcast or Duplication of Media, we are passionate about our serving the Lord Jesus Christ, and the body of believers at CCC.

In providing a transparent, distraction-free environment that can also accent the activities at CCC, our Team Members employ a host of technologies, such as:

Audio

Our Audio Operators fall into two basic categories: general Sound Board Operators, and Sound Technicians. The only real distinction between the two is that the Sound Technicians are responsible for the maintenance and R/R of all equipment used, as well as making changes in cable routing, installments, design and engineering. They also do the research and make recommendations for purchases of replacement gear, and discuss future ministry needs, and may occasionally assume Sound Board Operator duties when required.

Sound Board Operators, however, are responsible for the overall sound quality, and will routinely make the necessary platform changes to facilitate the various services, such as Sunday Morning Worship, Wednesday Evening, or CCS Chapel Services. They will make any minor audio adjustments as necessary, or desired by that service's Worship Leader.  Along with operating the sound board during a service, the Sound Board Operator is also responsible for recording it to both CD and cassette tape media, as required. And, they may also need to switch between various audio & video sources during the service, if the Computer Operator is busy with other duties. (The Main Sanctuary Tech Booth is usually a two-person operation - requiring both a Sound Board Operator and a Computer Operator). The ability to "Multi-task" and be quick to think is extremely important to a Sound Board Operator, so as to not let the mechanics of operations interfere with the flow of a service. Issues such as equipment/cable failures, audio feedback, readiness with audio/video feeds, etc., can arise with no notice, and must be managed quickly.

Due to the increasing number of activities and services requiring Sound Board Operators, we are always happy to welcome and encourage those who are interested in entering our Apprentice Program to learn the skills necessary ~ please contact Pastor Steve Messick This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Video
For the person who enjoys video production, camcorder operations, or even still photography, there are plenty of opportunities at CCC to develop your skills! With all of the fund-raising, missions, school events and others, such as Weddings and Memorial Services, we are always in need of those who enjoy documenting these occasions on film or tape. Our Video & Media Department employs NLE computer software to produce DVD's that are shown during services. Small to large projects are always in the making. So, join in the fun. Lighting
Lighting scene changes have become an integral part of today's Worship Services. With the need to control light sources while showing video clips, concerts, etc., changes in the light board settings can vary greatly. We desire to be flexible in presenting a wide range of atmospheres; all the way between the contemporary, Friday night "ALTAR" settings, to the more conservative Weddings and Memorials. Light Board operations are extremely easy and intuitive, with very little to learn. We currently have the need for several more Light Board Operators. If you could dedicate yourself to one Service per month, it would help us greatly. Please give me an email if interested. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Computer Generated Graphics
Computer Operations is no small chore these days! And here at CCC, we depend heavily on our Computer Operators to perform the many functions that occur "behind the scenes" during Worship Services, Weddings, CC School functions, Special Events, and a host of others! And, a person does NOT have to be a computer "geek" to help out! Although general computing skills are required, the software programs and equipment we use are simple to operate, with just a little explanation and training. Our main platform is PC-based, yet a working knowledge of Mac's would also be helpful. You may call the Church Office for more info, or talk with Pastor Steve.

Media Duplication
The ability to pick up a CD, DVD or Cassette Tape recording of a Service or Event has become quite popular at Christ Community Church! We have many inspiring speakers, and Guests who occasionally come to share from time-to-time, who speak on a wide range of Biblical topics and life issues. We offer Media Duplication to those who would like to have a copy to listen to, for casual enjoyment or serious Bible Study, on a variety of media. We need individuals who are available for a few minutes after each Service, to monitor duplication requests, and operate our simple-to-use equipment, located in the Media and Broadcast Room ~ upstairs in the Main Sanctuary.
